Solution: My DISTO is not transferring measurements.

Postby Adam » Fri Apr 09, 2010 3:58 pm

Problem Description: With your DISTO connected and an objected selected, measurements are not transmitted to the software when the Bluetooth button is pressed.

Solution #1: Some software products that connect to the DISTO change the way it communicates. If you have used your DISTO with other software products and the DISTO does not appear to be working please try the following:
  1. Place your DISTO into second mode by pressing the "2nd" button.
  2. Press any one of the blue directional arrow keys.
NOTE: If this doesn't resolve your issue, you can disable second mode by pressing "2nd" again.

Solution #2: Please ensure you are using the "0.000m" measurement unit (Meters, to three decimal places).

With the DISTO turned on, you can do this by:

On a Leica DISTO D8:
  1. Press and hold the "MENU" button until the settings menu is displayed.
  2. Press the "+" button until the units option is selected(a ruler with "UNIT" written under it).
  3. Press the "MENU" button once.
  4. Press the "+" button until "0.000m" is selected.
  5. Press and hold the "MENU" button until an image of a diskette with an arrow is displayed.

On a Leica DISTO A6:
  1. Press and hold the "MENU" button until the settings menu is displayed.
  2. Press the "MENU" button until the "UNIT" option is selected.
  3. Press the "=" button once.
  4. Press the "+" button until "0.000m" is selected.
  5. Press the "MENU" button once to store the setting.

On a Leica DISTO plus:
  1. Press the "MENU" button until "SET" is displayed (This is usually the second option).
  2. Press the "=" button once; the current unit should start flashing.
  3. Press the "+" button until "0.000m" is selected.
  4. Press the "=" button once to store the setting.
