This local event was a great opportunity for us to present and demonstrate our products to businesses. We have a number of strong leads as a result of this event, organised by the Chamber of Commerce (Hereford & Worcester), and hosted by Worcester Rugby Club. Thanks to Druey for helping us to make the most of this event.

The InterGeo 09 exhibition has been a great success. We have met with many new resellers, and customers, and have some very positive feedback on the product and the innovation within. Thanks to all those who visited our stand, and we hope to meet you again soon.

Ben and I arrived in Karlsruhe yesterday, and setup ready for the exhibition starting tomorrow. Already, there is great interest in our miniPLAN Profiler software product, which will help boost sales for Leica DISTO D8 resellers.

The new miniPLAN Profiler software is now complete, and is available to Leica DISTO D8 resellers initially. The software allows the D8 to be placed on a tripod, and is rotated through several positions, capturing distance and angle. The result is a cross-section, or 'profile' of a building, room, facade, or any object for which a full or partial profile is required. The output is a DXF file, and each profile can be joined in a CAD package to form a wire-frame 3D model.
Accuracy is impressive, the D8 performs amazingly on a tripod. Steve Bury will be issuing a white paper on this shortly.

Ben has nearly completed planning of our first international exhibition, and interGEO in Germany. We have lots of new marketing material, in both German and English. Look out for the new demo CD-ROM, and a new 'demo' version coming soon on the website.

Due to the growing number of enquiries and sales, and the slight up-turn in the economy (?) we have now appointed Ben Chapman as a salesmen. Ben is delighted to be in on the project, and helping us develop new business, in what is a very challenging market.

During the previous four weeks we have noticed a marked increase in sales and activity on our website. Could this be green shoots in the economy, or just people spending money as a result of the summer 'feel good factor'? Does it matter, we're making more sales and our customers are undertaking more surveys!

We have moved office within the current site location, so thanks to all of our customers, resellers and suppliers who were understanding during this move. We are now fully back online, and will be distributing licence files to all those who bought the miniPLAN floor plan software in the last two days.

The exhibition at the ISA was a great forum in which to demonstrate the capabilities of miniPLAN to over 130 independent surveyors. The new version of the Home Buyers Report (HBR) may be a good opportunity to move to an electronic floor plan, with many of the surveyors commenting that they either do not provide a floor plan, or use a sketch for their own notes. This could be easily augmented with a simple floor plan using miniPLAN Go!, and many users liked the ability to insert text notes, embed photographs, and embed audio notes.
Many users asked about the wall material construction. This can be captured with the miniPLAN Pro version of the software, and allows the user to record every wall's construction material type.
The Energy Assessor report, which complements iSBEM data entry was also of interest. Many of the surveyors at the event currently use paper notes, perform manual calculations for area and volume before finally entering data into iSBEM. miniPLAN saves loads of time by allowing these DEAs and NDEAs to zone each room as they go, capture detailed material construction information, and check that they have not missed an areas within the building.

Our next exhibition is on Wednesday 13th May at the ISA AGM at Silverstone. The ISA is a small group of professional surveyors, and their collective knowledge and experience in specialist areas allows them to work together to help each other. Many of them work on their own or in small companies, so the ISA represent this community well.

Due to the number of visitors and number of enquiries generated from Geo 09, we are going to exhibit at ICES XCES. This is a new event, and is at York Racecourse on the 21/22 April.
We will be running our Product Demonstration and Training sessions at this event, and will be targeting the cities around the region. If you are planning on visiting, please contact us in advance and we will book you into one of our demonstration and training slots. Bring your own hardware, and we'll install a copy of the software for you there and then. Don't forget to bring your cheque book or payment card of course!

Thanks to all our customers and visitors who made the effort to visit us at Geo 09. We had an amazing number of visitors, and generated more enquiries than we anticipated, and sold several licences at the show itself.

At present we are working on the ability to record sounds and photos within your miniPLAN project. Audio clips are working on both PDA and PC devices, and image support is in development.

The power of the web! we have had sales from Australia, South Africa and USA! We are not even promoting the product abroad, and already customers are forthcoming. Let us know your story - we want to find the most remote or unusual survey undertaken using miniPLAN.

We have just completed a project with C.A.Design Services, measuring a supermarket using a bluetooth DISTO™ and miniPLAN. The project took just two days, and the client was delighted with miniPLAN's performance.

We will be launching the new express edition of miniPLAN called miniPLAN Go! next month. For only £199, this will allow low-end users the opportunity to get the most out of their Leica DISTO™. Ideally suited for a PDA, the software allows floors and rooms to be measured quickly and effectively. The software will also run on a laptop, tablet or desktop PC, making it a simple alternative to more complex cumbersome drawing packages. If you just need a basic architectural looking plan, you create one in a few minutes using miniPLAN Go!
